Dogs must be on a leash at all times. If renting a stall, you need to bring your own shavings/bedding unless you have ordered shavings from PacWest and you pre-entered. If you pre-enter and order shavings, they will be in your stall when you arrive. All horses must be in rented stalls overnight (no portables or tying). Stalls will be assigned. You will be disqualified and loose all entry fees and prizes if you place your horse in a stall that you have not paid for. If you are renting a stall(s) and wish to stall with others, we ask that you either call or send an e-mail with your request, indicating what persons and how many horses are to be together. Camping spots are located throughout the fairgrounds. Although many electrical outlets are available, they are on a first-come/first-served basis. No hooking up to power without paying; this will get you disqualified. A nominal haul-in fee is required of those racers who are not renting a stall. This fee offsets the clean-up fee charged to PacWest by the fairgrounds. Please keep your horses off of the grass! The Grab the Cash Open is co-sanctioned with BRN4D, NSBRA, and the WPRA. Because this is a multiple session race with one payout, you may co-sanction only one session for each horse you enter. You choose which session you wish to co-sanction. PacWest member receive a 50% discount on paperwork and late fees at all races. To join, download the membership form at pacwestbarrelracing.com. The dress code for all races is long-sleeved shirt, western hat or helmet, riding boots. A horse can be entered in up to 4 Grab the Cash Open sessions but can be entered in one session only once (no sharing). PacWest will determine eligibility for a rerun and also determine where in the draw any granted rerun will occur. Timed runs are $5 each; pick up tickets from the office. The offer for a free Sunday run in the Grab the Cash Open requires that you enter the same horse in the Open on Friday and Saturday or twice on Saturday. Non-Open classes (Amateur, Youth, Adult, Masters) must be entered as carry-overs on Friday and Saturday nights; riders may choose to either run or carry-over to those classes on Saturday and Sunday mornings. Once the draw is posted for an Open session, no scratches or horse changes are allowed except for documented vet-outs which will result in the refund of race entry fees. PacWest will keep all stall, camping, late, and processing fees. The Grab the Cash Open will pay out to 5 D?s with one-half second splits. Those who enter the Jockey Slot Race must agree and sign that: They have had no Open 1D or Futurity 1D payouts in the last 365 days; have had no open rodeo payouts in the last 365 days; are not WPRA card holders (permits are OK) and that they?or an immediate family member?own the horse they?re entering. If this proves to not be true, they will forfeit their entry fees and any winnings from this race. If a horse breaks pattern, you may finish your run but may NOT re-circle any barrel; doing so will result in a $25 fine. The rider(s) following you in your drag will appreciate it.
