FUTURITY - $5,000 added Open to any horse which is 3, 4, or 5 years old (open to horses of 2005 or later). Horse must not reach the age of 6 during 2010. Entries may be mouthed by a licensed veterinarian at the time of check in. The veterinarian?s decision is final. To enter the futurity the horse must not have competed in a barrel race prior to December 1, 2009. This excludes time only or exhibition runs. Failure to comply with this rule means forfeiture of entry fees paid and elimination from Futurity. Name of the horse must be specified at time of entry. Substitutions accepted with a $50 fee assessed. PAYMENT SCHEDULE - TOTAL $300. 1st Payment $150 due April 1 2nd Payment $150 due May 1 No entries taken after 12:00 p.m. on June 4, 2010. All payments must be paid online by the first of each month or a $35 late fee will be assessed. All entry fees, less 30%, go to Futurity/Derby payoff. Two go rounds, the final go and average will be paid. The top 20 horses will run in the short go, the order will be slowest to fastest. DERBY - $1,000 added 1. Open to any horse 5, 6 or 7 years old (horses of 2003 or later). Derby horses may not be cross entered in futurity. Futurity rules 3, 4, 6, 7, and 8 apply to derby. The top 10 horses will run in the short go, slowest to fastest. PAYMENT SCHEDULE - TOTAL $150. 1st Payment $75 due April 1 2nd Payment $75 due on May 1 DIVISION OF PURSE: Futurity & Derby Two go rounds, a short go, and an average paid on Futurity & Derby (25% each). The total of all three times will determine the champions. In case of a tie, champions will be determined by a flip of a coin. GENERAL INFORMATION ABSOLUTELY NO REFUNDS PROMOTER RESERVES THE RIGHT TO REFUSE ANY ENTRY AT ITS DISCRETION. AWARDS: Awards will be given in all events. DRESS CODE: Long sleeve shirts, western pants, hats, and western boots are required. ELECTRIC TIMER: Two electric timers will be set up but in the event of a malfunction competitors will be given a rerun. HORSE SUBSTITUTION: $50 - substitutions are allowed only due to illness, injury or death of nominated horse. Veterinarian affidavit is required with substitution fee and must be in the office by 12:00 p.m. on June 4, 2010.. New horse must have the same owner and/or rider as original entry. RIDER SUBSTITUTION: $50 RV or TRAILER SPOTS: $25 per night in the campground with full hookups, $10 per night in the stall area. Please keep in mind that the power at the stalls is not sufficient to run heaters, air conditioners, microwaves? DO NOT PLUG TRAILERS INTO THE STALL OUTLETS STALLS: $17 per night. Stalls will be reserved and assigned as they are paid for, to ensure a covered stall please send payment with your initial entry. SPORTSMANSHIP: All contestants and their family members are expected to display good sportsmanship at all times. No level of abuse toward any animal at this event will be allowed. Foul language, misconduct or abusive comments spoken to any contestant, spectator, staff member or volunteer will result in immediate contestant disqualification and no refund of any fees.
